Northern California Chapter
The Northern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (NCCACS) is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of surgery while promoting the highest standards of surgical care throughout Northern California. Encompassing a wide geographic region from the Oregon border to the San Joaquin Valley, the Chapter represents surgeons from diverse practice settings including private practice, academic medical centers, Veterans and military hospitals, and health maintenance organizations.
The Chapter is home to six surgical training programs—UC Davis, Alameda County Medical Center/UCSF East Bay, Stanford University, UCSF Fresno, San Joaquin General, and UCSF—fostering education, mentorship, and professional growth for residents and medical students. NCCACS also plays a vital role in advocacy, working with elected officials at the State Capitol in Sacramento to advance policies that support surgeons and the patients they serve.
Each year, the Chapter brings members together for educational programming, networking opportunities, and updates on surgical innovations and advocacy efforts. NCCACS remains committed to enhancing surgical education, supporting its members, and improving care for the communities across Northern California.
