Samuel C Schecter MBBS, FACS
Dr. Schecter MBBS, FACS received his degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He returned to California for training in General Surgery at the University of California East-Bay Surgery Program, during which he did a two-year Fellowship at the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center. He followed residency with a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at UCSF. Since 2015 he has been a General Surgeon working in The Permanente Medical Group and specializes in laparoscopic and robotic surgery with a focus in foregut and colon procedures as well as complex open abdominal wall reconstruction. His recent academic focus has been on clinical outcomes research in both abdominal wall reconstruction and same-day home recovery for benign foregut procedures.
